OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Lead, inspire, advise and support the Australian and
global community to protect and share the Wet Tropics
World Heritage Area in perpetuity.
OUR VISION
To protect the values of the Wet Tropics through
collaboration, culture, knowledge and passion".
The Wet Tropics Management Authority is established under the Wet
Tropics World Heritage Protection and Management Act 1993 to
ensure Australia's obligation under the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) World Heritage
Convention 1972 is met in relation to the Wet Tropics.
