Water Analytical Services (WAS) was formed in November 2000. The founder and director, Stephan van der Merwe, established the company with a specific focus on the coal, iron and steel industries as well as Eskom Power Generation.
Water Analytical Services specializes in Water Treatment, Chemical Engineering and Instrumentation. Additional WAS services include Process Development for the removal of hazardous elements in water and dust; the treatment of acid mine water to effluent and potable drinking water specification; reverse osmosis plants; ultra-filtration and nano-filtration; online cleaning; acid cleaning; system monitoring; equipment installation; chemical engineering; demineralisation; total service management and cloud seeding.
The dedicated WAS team is committed to becoming the preferred supplier for clients in the markets in which they operate and work according to the key principles of staff culture, no harm to the environment, safety first, zero effluent and long-term benefits to all.
