About

Junior Achievement Mascareignes is committed to empowering youth by equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate workplace challenges. We aim to raise awareness, foster a better understanding of the social and economic environment, and cultivate entrepreneurship skills among young individuals. Our organization focuses on three key pillars: Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Work Readiness.

In pursuit of our objectives, JA Mascareignes has forged robust partnerships with both the private and public sectors, as well as other NGOs dedicated to youth welfare. Aligned with our values and vision, we collaborate with entities that share our commitment to youth development. JA Mascareignes holds official authorization from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, granted through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 20, 2014, enabling access to schools across the Republic.

Our programs are implemented by teachers, often with the support of volunteers from our sponsors' staff. Both educators and volunteers undergo in-house training provided by JA Mascareignes' staff. A comprehensive guide for volunteers and teachers is also provided. All materials used in these programs, accessible to teachers, volunteers, and students, are offered completely free of charge. Upon completion of the programs, students with 80% attendance receive a certificate of achievement.

Tailored to reflect the Mauritian culture and environment, our programs complement the school curriculum, offering hands-on experiences to beneficiaries.
