About
The Higher Institute for Banking & Financial Studies was established in 1963 through a collaborative effort between the Sudan Central Bank and various commercial and specialized banks. The objective was to provide the banking industry with highly skilled graduates.
The institute's curricula were developed after a comprehensive review of similar institutions' curricula, notably the British Banking Institute, and incorporating feedback from the Central and other commercial banks.
In 1993, the institute was renamed the Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences.
