About
We the People provides platforms & spaces for people to protect their social, political, environmental & economic rights. We support people with tools, skills, networks, & alternatives as they project their voices & interests.
We research & identify best practices & alternative frameworks that respect the rights of people, protects their livelihoods, conserves their environment & promotes their existence. We work in solidarity with communities to identify, plan & carry out solutions crafted by them & tailored to address their own unique needs.
Through building collaborations & solidarity among citizens & citizens' organizations, we work to co-create productive synergies & amplify voices in addressing issues that affect them.
How we Work
• Through strategic trainings, we deploy valuable social change skills to partners that enables them better advocate & engage on issues of social, political, environmental & economic values to them.
• Working with affected communities, we carry out researches into issues of concern to target stakeholders, & develops informed analysis & alternative courses of action & policy frameworks.
• We work to identify & project community stake in key social, economic & political considerations of the government & private companies.
Our Core Values
People First: We believe that NGOs cannot replace the role of people in extracting the social contract from duty bearers. Our role is to support people as they demand the fulfilment of their social contract; & not to replace them in that engagement.
We Develop Together: We do not develop solutions looking for problems. We are connected with our partners. Together we define the problem & co-create the solution.
We Work Efficiently: We work in an efficient & prudent manner. For us value for money is as important as the results we achieve.
We have Integrity: In all we do, we uphold the highest level of integrity & dignity not only when it is convenient, but especially when it is not.
