Africa Medical Technologies (AMT) was first incorporated in Ghana on 13th December 2018 with the name Expedient Medical Response and Ambulance Services (EMRAS), as a company determined to run an efficient medical response and ambulance services business with modern equipment, qualified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and highly dedicated staff that will provide the strength and ability to service its clients with outstanding service.

Having successfully completed a corporate restructuring process via two (2) merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, which brought on board two British-owned entities as corporate shareholders namely Health Pilot Limited and Kudu Spectrum Limited, the company name was changed from EMRAS to AMT. This M&A has positioned Africa Medical Technologies (AMT) both as a biotech consultancy and a procurement company specialising in medical equipment and devices led by UK-trained medics who have been fully immersed in the COVID-19 health crisis.

AMT offers assistance with procurement of Covid-19 tests and with programmes of testing to help corporate bodies, sports, entertainment and indeed countries, return to normal. We can help protect your population and your borders to minimise the infection risk and bring back some semblance of normality.

Together with our partners, we have teamed up with laboratories and manufacturers to offer Lateral Flow Point-of-Care Tests for both antibody (finger prick ten-minute test) and antigen testing (nasopharyngeal swab 15-minute test). Our antibody test has been validated at six different external laboratories and has been used extensively in seroprevalence population studies. It has multiple authorisations around the world and is CE certified. Our antigen test is one of only three advertised on the Public Health England website and is also seeking FDA EUA in USA.
