Tusmo is a Somali research and consulting agency founded by a Somali development and research expert. Tusmo prides itself to offer the services of experienced and highly trained national consultants with an in-depth understanding of the local social, political and cultural dynamics. Tusmo has partnered with Altai Consulting, an international consultancy firm specialized in transitional environments and emerging markets.

Tusmo activities are organized in two practices: Business Advisory and Public Policy.
Business Advisory - Tusmo proposes a wide range of services to support private companies, including consumption patterns and market research, value chain analysis, sectorial studies and other more targeted strategy assessments.
Public Policy - Tusmo has worked for a number of international NGOs and donor agencies to provide them with accurate, reliable field research and effective strategic support, through program monitoring assessment, impact evaluations and targeted socio-economic studies.
The firm offers qualitative and quantitative primary data collection services, data entry and advanced data analysis using statistical software as well as contextualization and qualitative analysis.

Tusmo maintains a nationwide network of highly trained national consultants who can operate in some of the most volatile areas of the Horn of Africa. The firm is able to mobilize entire research teams in Somaliland, Puntland, South Central Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Northern Kenya.
