About

An Meá (pronounced "arn mar") means "the balance" in Irish Gaelic.

An Meá was established in 1997 by Steve Williams and Seán O'Donnell. Our business has flourished under the guiding principle that protecting people and the planet is good for business - yours and ours. This is what we call "sustainable development".

Adhering to this principle requires a different approach to business. Our people, goals and values make us different. They are the platform for our success.

From our base in Sydney, Australia, we deliver a range of products, services and programs to an international network of clients.

So, why does An Meá emphasise "one bottom line"? Conversely, a company that ignores its environmental and social responsibilities in the single-minded pursuit of profit will also not survive in the long term. The harsh reality is that business success depends on creating shareholder value measured in financial terms.
