Our Vision is to provide a balanced learning programme that develops the child holistically in an invitational environment that instils in children a life-long passion for learning and prepares them for the challenges of tomorrow.
BACKGROUND
Dr. Indira Naidoo established the School of Reading and Maths and Speech and Drama in Tongaat and Phoenix/ Mount Edgecombe in 2005 and since then grown in stature to the extent that learners are excelling in grades at school. She has first-hand experience in the educational field for many years as Head of Department of Maths, Science, Computer and Technology.
Hundreds of learners have successfully gone through the portals of the School of Reading and Maths at both branches. The introduction of OBE had a huge impact on education and the implications for the culture of learning at schools, especially in the teaching of reading and numeracy/maths.
Dr. Indira Naidoo was able to bridge this educational gap in the lives of learners. She applies the principle of Invitational Education as researched in her Doctoral Degree of Education. She is actively involved in various intensive community programs including library forums to promote reading, lunching of the ‘Mums and Kids' programme, facilitating the Living Values Educational Programmes (LVEP) for parents and educators to instil positive values in children of all ages. She is also a registered counsellor, who offers free counselling to parents and learners in need including ADD and ADHD children.
Dr. Indira Naidoo has added yet another accomplishment to her phenomenal list of achievements. She has completed her second Doctorate in Technology (communication, media and language practice).
