About
Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary is situated just 4 kms outside the village of McGregor on the road between Robertson and McGregor on the edge of the Klein Karoo. The Sanctuary's mission is to provide permanent refuge and care for abused, neglected and elderly donkeys. We strongly believe that these donkeys deserve to be cared for and that their suffering should be addressed. We promote the motto: "A culture of caring". The Sanctuary is also committed to preventing cruelty and relieving the suffering of donkeys through educational programmes for schools.
