The Institution received license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Monday March 7, 2011 as the 45th Private University in Nigeria.

Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) has continued to lead the charge in providing quality university education for all through various academic programmes. As a leading private University, the Institution has proven records in the following areas:

1. Providing wholesome education for intellectual and spiritual development of her students.

2. Achieving comprehensive education that shall make students to be ICT- compliant with opportunity of graduating with the following certificates within four years:

a. Degree certificate in chosen academic programme,

b. Entrepreneurial Skills Training Certificate, and

c. Certificate in professional studies in affiliation with relevant professional bodies.

3. Mounting local and international training programmes for all categories of staff (academic, administrative and technical)
