About

VISET is a union of informal economy workers with structures throughout Zimbabwe. The organisation's programmatic thrust is anchored on three pillars:
(1) Taking action to defend, promote and expand the rights of informal workers,
(2) Improve the working conditions of informal workers and
(3) Strengthen their capacities to trade profitably and grow their businesses.
VISET Organizational Objectives are as follows
1. To promote the participation of informal workers in national economic, policy and
legislative processes
2. To develop and strengthen the capacity of informal workers to trade profitably and transform their businesses to become entrepreneurs
3. To enhance the capacity of informal workers to engage solution holders on issues
affecting them and participate effectively in decision making
4. To coordinate and enhance the provision of social safety nets for child or
juvenile informal workers
5. To facilitate platforms of engagement for informal workers to realize their Social and
Economic Rights enshrined in the constitution.
