OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION
BACKGROUND
Jamnel Care Organization (JCO) is a national organization that was established in 2019 by young women and adolescent girls in response to women and girls needs exacerbated by war and community conflicts, but registered in 2022 with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission with Registration No 4393. JCO delivers response in the local community supporting the most vulnerable and marginalized in Central Equatorial State and Unity States with a vision to expand its response to other states across South Sudan. JCO plays a major role in providing robust intervention in women and girl's rights, gender promotion, women and girls economic empowerment to curb poverty through skills training, advocacy on girl child education, advocacy against Gender Based Violence, promoting environmental justice, and ensuring youth and women inclusion in economic development.

JC uses the strategies below to achieve its mission:
1. Engaging men as allies to support positive behavioral change and promote positive masculinity to help advocate against GBV, VAWGS, biased cultural norms and to promote gender equality
2. Engaging community decision makers and gate keepers in families to address deeply rooted beliefs that harm women and girls
3. Engaging adolescen girls and boys to act as ambassadors for advocacy amongst their peers in schools and on media such as talk shows
4. Networking and collaborating with organizations, agencies, government and institutions that share our values, vision and mission.
