Longest established & best known name in South Africa in our field. Family business started in Johannesburg in 1936 when Henri Lidchi, original founder, moved from his galleries in Paris, France. Henri Lidchi, Victor's father, was an international dealer in art and Persian carpets based in Paris. In 1935, during his travels he met Sir Ernest Oppenheimer who persuaded him to exhibit at the 1936 Empire Exhibition in Johannesburg.
We continue a 74 year respected tradition of the Lidchi name in South Africa. In this third generation, we launch, "Victor Lidchi, the Next 50 Years", a program of upgrade and expansion to introduce the new "reborn" Victor Lidchi!
