About

NONDO is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that advocates for the rights, inclusion, and participation of persons with disability from nomadic/ pastoralist communities of Kenya to ensure they live dignified lives. NONDO is the first organization of persons with disabilities (OPD) to exclusively target nomadic/pastoralist counties of Kenya to amplify unique circumstances surrounding the lives of nomadic/pastoralist Persons with Disabilities in these counties.
At the heart of NONDO's theory of change is its advocacy model. We believe that when persons with disabilities in this region, and the world at large, have a voice and space to participate, they live meaningful lives, and the society is progressive. Over the years NONDO has utilized different approaches guided by the Human rights approach including inclusive sports, media engagement, and support through legal processes such as litigation.
