Horizon Bank is set up as a South Sudanese national bank destined to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of the financial sector in South Sudan.
The bank hope to assist the people of South Sudan to access affordable financial services compare to what is being offered by most regional banks. The bank hope to partner with other commercial banks in the country to provide innovative transactional products and service besides the traditional product suites. Access to affordable credit will be a key motivator in the bank's business. Encouragement of saving culture will be on top of the bank's agenda and this will be achieved through offering of interests on customers' savings held at the bank.
Horizon Bank aims to be a model local bank in South Sudan. It intends to start with two branches; one in Bilpam and the other one in Juba city. Eventually the bank will open branches in the ten (10) states of South Sudan in an attempt to pursue opportunities and its financial inclusion agenda.
