The City of Nanaimo is a municipality, situated on the Traditional Territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Nanaimo is approximately 55km west of Vancouver, across the Strait of Georgia, and is accessed from the mainland via ferry, regional airport (YCD), or right into our downtown core by floatplane from Vancouver Harbour or Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
