About
The Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw was established on 1 January 1950 under the name of the College of Arbitrators at the Polish Chamber of Foreign Commerce, as an independent body for the resolution of disputes arising from international commercial relations. Since 1990, the Arbitration Court has been operating under the auspices of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. It is the most recognised and respected permanent arbitration court in Poland. Its popularity is growing in this part of Europe. Nearly 20% of its cases are international. In addition to the best Polish lawyers, the list of arbitrators includes the names of foreign arbitration specialists. The Court also conducts ad hoc arbitrations in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. The court conducts mediations. It also promotes the idea of arbitration in academic and business circles. The Court of Arbitration has concluded a number of cooperation agreements with internationally renowned arbitration institutions. It is a member and one of the founders of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions, a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, a member of the European Arbitration Group.
