Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran" is an institution with over 145 years of tradition in maritime research and higher education, with a good international reputation, the best ranked Romanian university in the field (university of education and scientific research), according to the national hierarchy by Romanian Ministry of Education.

Romanian Naval Academy is the first university awarded with the highest rating (High Trust) by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS).

The academic programs offered by the Naval Academy are accredited by ARACIS and certified by the Romanian Naval Authority (RNA) for compliance with the provisions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The quality of the learning process is certified ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas.
