MEG Energy is a Canadian oil sands company focused on in situ thermal oil production in the southern Athabasca oil sands region of Alberta. MEG has a large, high-quality resource base – one that we believe holds some of the best in situ resources in Alberta. We are proud to develop and implement innovative enhanced oil recovery projects that utilize steam-assisted gravity drainage extraction methods to improve the economic recovery of oil. MEG is a member of the Pathways Alliance, a group of Canada's largest oil sands producers.
