About
The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) provides leadership as a regional economic driver and a gateway for passengers and cargo by providing exceptional customer service and facilities. The PGAA assumed operational control of the airport on March 31st, 2003. The Authority immediately set into motion an aggressive business plan with the main focus on building an airport which supports the needs of its region's residents, facilitating growth in tourism and industry, while attracting air services long considered necessary for this region's growth.
YXS is home to the 4th longest commercial runway in Canada at 11,450 ft. The runway extension was completed in 2009 at a cost of thirty six million dollars split between the Provincial & Federal Governments and The PGAA.

Customers have access to flights from WestJet, Air Canada, Central Mountain Air, Flair, and Pacific Coastal Airlines as well as charter services to most points in Northern and Central BC. During the winter months Flair offers weekly flights to Tucson, Arizona.
