Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit është themeluar më 6 Qershor 1930. Ajo është anëtare e Federatës Ndërkombëtare të Shoqatave të Futbollit (FIFA) prej vitit 1932 dhe e Bashkimit të Shoqatave Europiane të Futbollit (UEFA) prej vitit 1954, dhe gjithashtu anëtare e Komitetit Olimpik. Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit është organi i vetëm kompetent për të organizuar futbollin në territorin e Shqipërisë dhe përdor shkurtimin "FSHF". FSHF është organizatë jofitimprurëse, për këtë arsye, çdo e ardhur që fitohet ri-investohet në aktivitete futbollistike.
The Albanian Football Association was established on 6 June 1930. It is a member of the FIFA since 1932 and the UEFA since 1954 and also a member of the Olympic Committee. The Albanian Football Association is the only body competent to organize football on the territory of Albania. Uses the abbreviation "FSHF" and is a non-profit organization, so any income earned is reinvested in football activities.
