A Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro é uma Associação Cultural e de Serviço Social, privada, declarada de Utilidade Pública, que promove a prevenção primária e secundária do cancro, o apoio social e a humanização da assistência ao doente oncológico e a formação e investigação em oncologia. | The Portuguese Cancer League (Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro - LPCC) is a private non-profit non-governmental organization, declared by law of public utility (relevant social aim), founded in April 1941. The League activities are developed by 5 branches with head offices in Angra do Heroísmo (Azores island branch), Coimbra (central branch), Funchal (Madeira island branch), Lisbon (south branch), Oporto (north branch). The Branches are responsible for the development of the League activities in their regions.
