PERM Inc. operates the TIPM Laboratory (Tomographic Imaging and Porous Media Laboratory) in Calgary, AB.

We perform Special Core Analysis (SCAL), CT Scanning Full Wells, and complex R&D for new Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods (EOR) for the oil and gas industry.

Special Core Analysis (SCAL):
- X-Ray Tomography (CT & Micro-CT of full wells)
- Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Fluid Characterization (fluid saturation of cores)
- Core Flood Experiments (High T/P, water, gas, solvent, chemical, polymer, etc)
- Centrifuge Technology (oil and bitumen extraction from core)
- Relative Permeability, Wettability, Capillary Pressure, Carbon Number Distribution, Thermal Conductivity, etc, etc

Reservoir Characterization:
- Well Log Analysis, Interpretation and Calibration
- T2CUTOFF

Modelling and Simulation:
- Network and Simulation
- Large Scale Modelling with Comsol

Enhanced Oil Recovery:
- Bitumen in oil sands (thermal/solvent)
- Bitumen in carbonates (thermal/solvent)
- Thermal/Non-Thermal Recovery of Heavy Oil
- Gravity Assisted Immiscible Gas Injection

Unconventional Gas:
- Coalbed Methane Absorption/Desorption
- Coalbed, Tight Gas Core Analysis
- Enhanced Gas Recovery and CO2 Sequestration
