We manufacture specialty compounds that find different applications across a wide spectrum of the wire and cable industry such as power cables, building wires, telecommunication & fibre optic cables, instrumentation cables, and photovoltaic cables.

Vadodara, India, May 13, 2021 – Shakun Polymers Private Limited ("Shakun"), a privately held and family-owned market leader in the production of compounds for the wire and cable markets in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, South East Asia, and Africa announced that Alphagary, a global leader in the design and manufacture of specialty polymer compounds and part of the Orbia Polymer Solutions business group has acquired a majority share ownership of Shakun.

Shakun has three manufacturing facilities in India with a total installed capacity of more than 25000 MT. We have invested in modern machinery, equipment, and efficient manufacturing processes to ensure the consistent quality of our products. We undertake testing of our products at our in-house testing facilities and at accredited testing facilities in India and abroad based on a specific product or customer requirements.

We have been manufacturing and supplying our products in both domestic and international markets with an established and diversified customer base. Our long-standing experience in manufacturing specialty compounds has resulted in our ability to customize products for our customers, per their requirements, thereby enabling us to maintain & grow our customer base with the majority of our revenue coming from the international market.
