And speaking of wine, we're the hub of l'Acadie blanc country. Seven vineyards now encircle the town. There's no need to hop on a plane for a wine tour any more. Just get on your bike.

We balance our love of the finer things in life with our love of the great outdoors. Maybe it has something to do with the 3500 students who arrive at Acadia each fall, but there's a youthful feel here. People of all ages can be seen running, hiking, biking, skiing or - when the tide's right - sliding down mud flats on their bellies.
