Om Leather Artdeco is the brainchild of 2 entrepreneurs, Mr. Sankar Dawn and Mr. Satyabrata Mitra who stepped up from humble origins and dared to produce fashion accessories to cater to a global market from India in an age when handbags and other accessories was a bare necessity and leather is an item of ultimate luxury. Combine honesty and modesty with hardwork and perseverance and voila!
Om Leather started growing in size from its tiny origins in Kolkata to catering various big brands in the UK, Germany and other European markets. Lady luck played her part to reward the company`s hardwork by providing many opportunities. Regular attendance in world renowned fairs and exhibitions earned the company a name which global buyers understood as high quality on time!
Now Om Leather operates as an ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified ccompany with 50,000 sq ft of sophicated production plants and its very own eco- friendly tannery to produce finished leather. The credit to supplying world class leather products to the international fashion market goes to the high skilled personnels working in the organisation blending professionalism, technical skills and their love for the company.
Current production capacities include 30000 handbags and 30000 small leather goods. So it can be said with quite certainty that Om Leather entering into its 30th year is still a dark horse and one to watch out for in the future!
