Dillard University is a four-year private liberal arts university where students gain a sense of belonging and purpose through the social capital they build with professors, University leaders and alumni.
Born from the historical union of Straight College and New Orleans University, some of our notable alumni include P.B.S. Pinchback, Pulitzer Prize winner Jericho Brown, university president Ruth Simmons, legendary jazz composer Ellis Marsalis, former Harlem Globetrotters Billy Ray Hobley and Ariel Mitchell, "The Doctors" co-host Nita Landry and New York Times best seller Lisa Frazier-Page.
