Robinsons Bank is majority-owned by JG Summit Holdings Inc. (JGSHI), one of the largest and most successful conglomerates in the Philippines, with business interests in air transportation, banking, food manufacturing, petrochemicals, real estate, hotels & property development, and telecommunications, and Robinsons Holdings, Inc. (RHI).

Founded in November 1997, the Bank was established to further broaden JG Summit's financial reach.
