تأسست هيئة تطوير محمية الإمام عبد العزيز بن محمد الملكية بموجب أمر ملكي عام 2018م سعياً لخلق متنفسٍ بيئي غني بالثروات والموائل الطبيعية والحياة الفطرية، ويقع ضمن نطاق عملها محمية الملك خالد الملكية، ويرأس مجلس إدارة كلتا المحميتين صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تركي بن محمد بن فهد بن عبد العزيز آل سعود – وزير الدولة – عضو مجلس الوزراء.
Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority (IARDA) was established in 2018 by Royal Decree. Aims to create a natural haven rich in geological resources, habitats, and biodiversity. The Authority manages two Reserves: Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and King Khalid Royal Reserve. It is headed by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al – Saud – Saudi Minister of State – Member of the Council of Ministers.
