Luxembourg has around 100,000 inhabitants and 65 % of the city's population are non-Luxembourgers. Today, the city is home to people from 159 nationalities making it one of the most multinational capitals in the world. Many people commute into the city from within Luxembourg and from over the borders with France, Belgium and Germany. The three neighboring countries are all connected via fast motorway links and train services and these daily commuters swell the working population to around 130,000. The city has a long history of welcoming foreigners. Indeed it is the blend of traditional Luxembourgish culture and the influence of the many nationalities of our residence that have given the city its unique cosmopolitan diversity.

Luxembourg is a city that delivers a great deal. In many ways, it is a city of contrasts: the old versus the new, the city versus the green countryside, a small capital with a global outlook.
