The Institute for Performance and Learning is Canada's only not-for-profit, membership-based organization representing workforce professionals since 1946.

Supporting a rapidly growing membership of 3,000+ members across 16 chapters from coast to coast, the Institute exists to elevate the workplace performance and learning profession by setting the standards for excellence in professional practice through a competency framework, code of ethics, and sought-after professional designations.

Members come from diverse backgrounds working in a range of sectors and are united by the knowledge that their skills are critical to the health and prosperity of Canadians.
