The idea of Yashoda Hospitals was born in the heart of Dr G Surender Rao, one of Hyderabad's eminent clinicians. In 1985, after an international education in medicine, he returned to India and set up a professional practice. In the next few years his practice flourished but he became increasingly frustrated by the lack of adequate hospital infrastructure for his patients. Joining forces with his brother, an established entrepreneur, he conceived the idea of a hospital that would deliver advanced, world-class, yet affordable healthcare.

In a developing corporate healthcare market the largest challenge is to provide world-class healthcare at affordable prices. And it is in this aspect that Yashoda Hospitals has succeeded.
