Our History
On February 15, 1947, Metairie Bank & Trust Company was founded by local businessmen in order for Metairie to take its place as a self-sufficient community. Metairie Bank & Trust Company was the first bank on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish and has operated continuously from Metairie since 1947. The bank operates a total of nine offices located throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area. The main telephone number is (504) 834-6330.
Service Area
Our primary service area is the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, La. We also service the remaining portion of Jefferson Parish and the parishes (counties) of Orleans, St. Charles, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and St. John. Applications received through the bank's website from areas other than those mentioned will not be accepted. Deposits are FDIC insured, and Metairie Bank is an equal housing opportunity lender. The bank is a member of the Louisiana Banker's Association and the Independent Community Bankers of America.
