Established by Doctor TBF Thompson, TBF Thompson (Garvagh) Ltd has been at the forefront of commercial and plant sales in Northern Ireland since 1958. TBF Thompson operates from three depots in Northern Ireland (Garvagh, Mallusk and Portadown) and one in the South of Ireland. Located in Dublin, the Southern operation is the latest addition to the group and trades under the name of TBF Construction Machinery.

The origin of the Company can be traced back to 1930 when Thomas Bacon French joined the family grocery business in Garvagh at the age of 15. A few years later he bought his first truck and started a haulage business - eventually known as TBF Thompson (Garvagh) Ltd. Today the Company is managed by Raymond Crilly, Alan Espie and Seamus Doherty.
