The Sternglas story began with founder Dustin Fontaine's desire to establish his own watch brand. His passion for watches, minimalistic designs and one crucial question gave him the impetus for this desire: Why is good design for wristwatches, mainly in Bauhaus design, no longer affordable for everyone today? This question led to the first milestone for Sternglas.

Our mission is to create timepieces that meet the highest quality standards. Timeless designs that survive trends and a workmanship that survives (almost) everything. Our focus is on the essentials, without overlooking the details – coupled with the claim to create watches that are affordable for everyone – in keeping with the Bauhaus philosophy itself. And all this at a fair price. The guiding principle of the Bauhaus: Making good design accessible to everyone is the core idea of our Sternglas identity. To form and to be a community. This is exactly what we want to show as a team at Sternglas: To inspire and inspire others. If there is one thing we have become aware of as an e-commerce watch brand, it is that honesty and building personal relationships are at the top of our list.
