SOUTHWESTERN DISTILLERY – the first distillery to be established in Cornwall for over 100 years, is an independent, family company handcrafting high-end spirits on the wild coast of north CORNWALL.

• Driven by his passion for creating flavours, founder and self-taught head distiller, TARQUIN LEADBETTER left his job in the city of London and moved to Cornwall to set up the business in 2013 at the tender age of 24.

• Within that first year of learning to distil through trail and error, Tarquin was awarded 1 of 6 Gold Medals for all International gins from the IWSC for his flagship TARQUIN'S CORNISH GIN.

• His second product (released 6 months later) the bold and brilliant TARQUIN'S CORNISH PASTIS (the first pastis to be commercially crafted in the UK) became the first ever pastis to win a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards.

• His third addition to the permanent portfolio, TARQUIN'S "THE SEADOG" NAVY STRENGTH GIN (57% abv) went on to win the prestigious title of "WORLD'S BEST GIN" at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards, 2017.
