About

Since 1997, BioTropic has specialised in the worldwide import, sales and private cultivation of organic fruit and vegetables. From apples to avocados, from mangos to ginger: throughout the year BioTropic supplies a wide selection of (exotic) products from six different continents.

BioTropic was founded by four German organic wholesalers and has today grown into a worldwide player with a total of five subsidiaries in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and the Dominican Republic. BioTropic is engaged in various projects worldwide, including apples from Argentina, mangos from Senegal, pineapples from Ivory Coast, bananas from the Dominican Republic, greenhouse products from Morocco, lemons from Italy, avocados from Peru and kiwifruit from New Zealand.

Besides a wholesaler, importer and retailer, BioTropic is also a producer of organic fruit & vegetables. Initially starting out with the import and sales of organic fruit and vegetables, BioTropic is now also growing its
own bananas in the Dominican Republic, apples and pears in Argentina and pineapples in Ivory Coast.
Quality & Sustainability Quality is a key focus for BioTropic. In order to guarantee consumers the delivery of top quality products, BioTropic has a worldwide network of over 50 committed employees, eight of whom are agricultural engineers who assist the growers on location and offer support where necessary. Because this is our main goal: 100% satisfaction and transparency, both with our customers and the growers we work with.

BioTropic wants to make the production and trade in organic fruit and vegetables as sustainable and transparent as possible. To reduce CO² emissions to an absolute minimum, we transport our fruit and vegetable products as much as possible by ship.
