Edition Wilhelm Hansen is a music publisher established in Copenhagen in 1857. Today, Edition Wilhelm Hansen is the largest independent music publisher in Scandinavia and maintains a catalogue including a wide range of celebrated Scandinavian classical composers, film score composers, and contemporary songwriters of pop, indie, hip-hop and jazz.

Our core business at Edition Wilhelm Hansen is to represent the interests of our composers within areas such as promotion, publishing, synchronization, distribution, sales and performance.

Additionally, we work in music supervision, overseeing all kinds of projects from advertising to TV productions and feature films. As music supervisors, we assist producers and directors in the clearance- and negotiation process, as well as in the creative process with music searches.

Our roster covers names such as Ólafur Arnalds, Frans Bak, PRISMA, Anna Rosenkilde, Burhan G, Hania Rani and Sebastian to classical masters like Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss and contemporary Nordic composers such as Per Nørgård, Louise Alenius, Josephine Opsahl, Bent Sørensen and Britta Bystrøm, amongst many others.

In 1988, Edition Wilhelm Hansen became a part of Wise Music Group, and the company currently represents more than 600.000 copyrights.
