Founded in Hamburg in 2001, plainpicture has established itself as an alternative source for photography right from the outset. With a credible and unconventional portfolio plainpicture steers away from the current photography mainstream and focuses on targeted editing to develop its ambitious and challenging collection.

Through collaboration with international photographers and representation of selected partner collections plainpicture has become a collection showcasing a diverse spectrum of different and individual photographic styles. We conceive ourselves less as a vendor for photography but more as an inspirational source for all creatives from the advertising, design and publishing fields, who do not want to become immersed in the endless depth of the image world. All images are model released and available for immediate use.

"Rauschen" is a special collection of narrative, emotional and atmospheric photographs, specifically dedicated to book jacket designers.

plainpicture has offices in Hamburg, London and Paris and New York. The plainpicture collection is internationally available through our global partner network.
