About

The Small Business Research Initiative Healthcare (SBRI Healthcare) is an NHS Accelerated Access Collaborative initiative in partnership with the Health Innovation Network. Funding is awarded to innovations that help address NHS unmet health and social care needs to benefit patients.

SBRI Healthcare is part of SBRI, a 20-year initiative that allows research and development services to be acquired from private sector providers who develop, in competition, solutions for the public sector.

Organisations of any size are eligible to apply for competition funding including startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), large organisations, Not-for-profits, charities and NHS providers.

To date, SBRI Healthcare has awarded £140 million to a portfolio of 260 companies.
