YAMASHIN-FILTER CORP.'s principle is "仕濾過事" (Rokajinitsukafuru) or "Contribute to society through filtration business".
Since our founding as a filter manufacturing and sales company in 1956, we have consistently focused on filtration. In 1978, we developed our own glass fiber filter media and started production of filter products for construction machineries, becoming the world's top class filter company for construction machineries. We started selling air filters and in Japan we have gained a top-class share in products such as pre-filters in 2019. Our various air filters have been used in a wide range of fields, including buildings, factories for food and chemicals, power switchboards, and special applications such as railroad vehicles.
In 2017, we developed YAMASHIN NANO FILTER®, a new material that utilizes nanofibers by the improved melt blow method, which has obtained an international patent. Since the manufacturing method is different from the conventional electrospinning method (ESD method), mass production of high-performance materials has become possible. NanoWHELP, an air filter medium using YAMASHIN NANO FILTER®, is our original new product that achieves a high collection rate, low pressure drop, and long life that cannot be seen anywhere else. NanoWHELP has been recognized for its features and is being adopted as a part of air filters in various places where high level of cleanliness is required, such as data centers, hospitals, and public facilities.
Sales of the air filter business for the fiscal year ended March 2021 was approximately 2.6 billion yen, and we anticipate that demand will continue to increase due to lifestyle changes. The YAMASHIN Group has approximately 700 employees, centered on our global network that spans 10 locations in 6 countries around the world. We are committed to develop, produce, and provide the highest quality filter media and filters not only in Japan but also overseas.
