Based near Grenoble, GEA employs 171 people,85 of whom are highly qualified engineers.

Trading as a public company and listed on the French Stock Exchange, GEA has an extremely solid financial structure, with 71 Million Euros of Equity and no debt.

Present in 38 countries, GEA achieves 50% of its turnover in overseas projects and equips 90% of all the toll lanes in France.

Having made the choice to remain socially responsible, GEA has always kept its business activities within a single site, thus enabling it to maintain complete control over all its industrial processes, from design to commissioning on site, including manufacture, testing, installation, software development and maintenance.

GEA offers a complete range of equipment and software for the implementation of automatic toll systems, including
• Conventional Automatic Toll Plazas (automatic toll lanes - all payment methods, automatic vehicle classification, remote based supervision systems offering real time assistance to toll users).
• Electronic Toll Collection following European Standard CEN TC 278
- GEA produces its own on-board vehicle tags and its own ground-based antenna equipment (more than 13,000 antennas and over 2 million tags delivered).
- Rapid flow in all categories, TIS based and rapid ETC lanes, 30km/h non-stop, reducing CO2 emissions
- Pilot system Free Flow Toll in Kazakhstan

Since 2001, GEA has also developed a complete range of integrated solutions covering car parking - reservation and payment by internet and by smartphone, including the integration of automatic number plate recognition at the car park entry and exit lanes.

GEA has earned the trust of many high-profile-customers: the City of Paris, La Defence, Lyon and Paris Airports, Park and Ride in the cities of Toulouse and Nantes in the development framework of Smart cities.
