Le Rivau Castle (Château du Rivau) is located in Loire Valley, in France, close to Chambord, Chenonceau, Villandry, and Chinon. The

Castle of Rivau seems to have come out of a fairytale and was inspired by medieval tales and folklore.

The 14 gardens of Rivau have received the labels "Remarkable Garden" and are a dream come true for the whole family. Each garden changes during the season, each one is based on a different fairytale and brings a lot of surprises.

Contemporary art is displayed in the gardens and there is a young artist exhibit every year in the castle.

Opening hours 2019:

From April 1st to April 30th : 10am to 6pm.

From Mai 1st to September 30th : 10am to 7pm. 

From October 1st to November 3rd : 10am to 6pm. 

Visitors are welcome to get the ticket up to 45 minutes before the closing of the Castle.

A booklet in different language is available for the visit : english, german, french, italien and spanish. And explanatory panels in french and english are in the gardens and the castle.

Also, the Restaurant the Fairies's Feas is open from 12.00 to 14.30, from April 1st to September 30th and and during the vacations in October and November from 12pm to 2.30pm
