Scales has been providing essential services to the New Zealand primary sector for more than 120 years.

Scales origins date back to 1897. Today it is a diversified agribusiness portfolio with divisions that are geographically spread, supplying multiple markets and customers. Scales has exposure to unique and separate components of the New Zealand primary sector.

Led by Chairman Tim Goodacre and Managing Director Andy Borland, Scales Corporation currently operates three divisions, Horticulture, Logistics, and Food Ingredients, in adjacent primary sectors.

We are dedicated to growing and sourcing agribusiness opportunities. We believe we have the expertise, experience and financial capability to help transform New Zealand into a global agribusiness super-power amongst the world's temperate climates.

For more than 100 years, we've worked with New Zealand producers to get our goods out into the world. This is our place in the economy. We're passionate about it. We're growing it. We're deepening and broadening our involvement in it. And we know that, alongside others, by taking the biggest view we can and investing smartly, we can bring home returns that our shareholders can be proud of.

In late 2017 we refreshed our growth strategy to focus on pure agribusinesses that play well to our strengths, being: fully vertically-integrated; export led; add value from our China relationships.
