Avelana - Fábrica de Malhas, SA., founded in February 1986 by Avelino Mano Gonçalves is a textile company specialized in the production and marketing of the widest range of knitwear for garment making.
Initially, it was a small family business, called "Avelino Mano Gonçalves", which was converted on February 2, 1987 into a joint-stock company "Avelana - Fábrica de Malhas, Lda."
Over the years, the company acquired knowledge and management skills, always evolving to sustained and continuous investments, thus generating a growth in the volume of business, thus requiring the need for new facilities.
On September 29, 2000, already installed in the new building, of bigger dimensions and adapted to its activity, it changed to the current designation "Avelana - Fábrica de Malhas, SA."
Attentive to the increasingly demanding market trends, management has always opted for state-of-the-art technology and innovation, always seeking to serve the demands of the market.
