Huxley Bertram Engineering Ltd specialises in bespoke, automated machinery and, as part of a very exciting phase for the company, we expect to be recruiting a number of new posts over the near future.

We design and supply innovative equipment which often incorporate pick and place, servo-hydraulic control, robotic handling, vision systems, PLC/ PC based control and process analysis.

Our machines serve the pharmaceutical, medical device, electronic and other technology-driven markets. Our expert teams are passionate about engineering and have a strong desire to be involved in all aspects of a client's project: from discussing the initial issues and design inception, right through to system creation, delivery and commissioning.

With the technical capability and creative skills to solve complex design problems, we deliver complete and affordable solutions to our clients. We have machines operating in Europe, North and South America and Asia and we chiefly cater to the high technology sectors, with blue chip clients in industries such as pharmaceutical, food packaging, petrochemical, biotechnology and others.

The company was founded in 1979 by William Bertram and Stewart Huxley, both Cambridge University Engineering graduates. In August 2014, we moved into new premises in Waterbeach, near Cambridge (UK) and we now have over 15,000 sqft of manufacturing space and offices.

The diversity of our work leads to excellent opportunities for individuals to gain experience in a wide variety of market sectors and leading edge technologies. At the same time, HBEL is committed to developing our employees and has a flexible policy for individual capabilities and preferences.
