The Raad voor Reclame-Conseil de la Publicité, founded in 1967, is the professional organization that unites various communication professions, represented by their respective associations, namely the UBA, ACC, VIA, Lapresse.be, VNM, BAM, WE MEDIA, and AEA. Since 1974, and with the support of the entire sector, it has dedicated a large part of its resources to the JEP, an independent and equally composed body (with half of its members coming from the advertising sector and the other half from civil society).
