About
Fluids, and in particular water, next to the solid components represent a key component in the Earth continental crust because water can act as a solvent, a catalyst enhancing chemical reactions, a transport medium for mass transport, and it controls the strength of rocks. FluidNET's approach will focus on tracking down the sources and pathways of fluids in the crust and will attempt to measure the timescales over which fluids are mobile in the crust. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 956127.
