Our mission is to educate and inspire through facilitating immersive experiences on sustainable farms and smallholdings.
We are a membership organisation whereby host members offer hands on learning experiences to members known as WWOOFers, who seek to learn the principles of agroecological farming and sustainable lifestyles.
We are a UK charity and a world wide movement, having started in the UK in 1971 and spreading across the world.
In 2012 the Federation of WWOOF Organisations (FoWO) was created to act as a democratic organisation for national WWOOF groups to work together.
